General InformationAroundIndy.com, LLC offers Open Rate display advertising to advertisers who want to run short-term ads on a few pages, or flat fee Annual Rate display advertising. We find this to be appropriate and cost-effective for all advertisers—large and small. This enables local advertisers—or someone advertising short-term events like garage sales—to share the same space with national advertisers at an affordable and reasonable price. Much has been made in recent news reports about Internet "click fraud," the practice of fraudulently and repeatedly clicking the same advertisement to drive up the advertiser's costs with no intention of making a purchase. It's been estimated that OVER HALF of all ad clicks are fraudulent. That's why we use flat rate pricing. Flat rate pricing eliminates any question of impropriety associated with the possible manipulation of such pricing methods as CPM (cost per 1,000 page views) or CPC (cost per click). Your exact cost is known in advance—no unexpected surprises! DefinitionsHome Page Banner Ad. A text or image advertisement that appears across the top of the Home Page, above the masthead, ranging from 468x60 pixels up to a maximum of 750x120 pixels. A Home Page Banner Ad is only available at the Open Rate (see below). Interior Page Banner Ad. A text or image advertisement measuring 468x60 pixels. May contain a hyperlink to another Web site. Banner ads are placed on a page-by-page basis as requested by the advertiser. Banner ads are available only at the Open Rate (see below). Left Column Button Ad. A text or image advertisement measuring up to 180 pixels wide that may appear in the left column of any of the pages of our Web site that contain event listings (excludes Home Page, menu and utility pages). May contain a hyperlink to another Web site. Maximum height 360 pixels. Right Column Button Ad. A text or image advertisement measuring up to 125 pixels wide that may appear in the right column of any of the pages of our Web site that contain event listings (excludes Home Page, menu and utility pages). May contain a hyperlink to another Web site. Maximum height 250 pixels. Open Rate Ad. An advertisement that runs day-by-day on the pages specified by the advertiser for the period specified. The advertiser pays a per page per day rate for a minimum of 7 consecutive days. Annual Rate Text Ad. An advertisement that contains only text, with or without a border box, and runs for 365 consecutive days on all pages of our Web site that contain event listings (excludes Home Page, menu and utility pages). Annual Rate Image Ad. An advertisement that contains images only, or text and images, and runs for 365 consecutive days on all pages of our Web site that contain event listings (excludes Home Page, menu and utility pages). First-Come, First-Served. Advertising space is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Your button ad (left or right column) will be placed below any previously-booked paid advertising on the page or pages you request. When previously-booked paid advertising expires, your ad will move up the column. Guaranteed Positioning. Your button ad is placed at the top of the column on each page on which it appears. Guaranteed Positioning is offered on a first-come, first-served basis, which means that your ad will be placed below any previously-booked Guaranteed Positioning ads on any given page. One Day. A 24-hour period from approximately 9:00 AM one day to 9:00 AM the following day, Indianapolis time. Sizing Your Banner AdOne banner advertisement appears at the top of most pages on this Web site. The standard size for a banner ad is 468 x 60 pixels.
Sizing a Left Column Button AdButton ads appear in the left column of most pages on this Web site. Left column button ads may be up to 180 pixels wide.
Sizing a Right Column Button AdButton ads appear in the right column of most pages on this Web site. Right column button ads may be up to 125 pixels wide.

Limit: 1 header line and 4 lines of text. You may change the ad as often as you want. This includes our popular DOLLAR-A-DAY rate: 365 days for $365.

Annual Rate - Image AdsYou can place an ad containing images on our Web site for 365 consecutive days (one year) on the Home Page, the left or right column of all interior pages (*), or a combination of all three. Company Logo SponsorshipsYou can place your company logo on our Web site—with a hyperlink to your company Web site—for $0.75 a day (billed monthly), or $250.00 (billed annually). Monthly billings are billed on the first of the month for the previous month (NOTE: All days remaining in the current month, plus all days in the following month, payable in advance). Your company logo will appear every time an events page loads on AroundIndy.com—over 1,000 pages in all—in the Page Footer at the bottom of each events page, identifying your company as an AroundIndy.com sponsor. Your logo will contain a hyperlink that routes visitors to your Web site in a new browser window, with a custom ALT tag of your choice. Interested? Advertisement Preparation
There are two ways to transmit your images to us: 1. Preferred Method: Send your image attached to an e-mail
message to: contact [at] aroundindy [dot] com. 2. Or send your image via U.S. Mail on a CD-ROM, disk or diskette to: AroundIndy.com, LLC Advertisement SubmissionContact us to request an advertising order form. We will e-mail it to you immediately. If you do not have e-mail, we will put it in the U.S. Mail within 24 hours of receiving your request. E-mail your completed advertising order to us at: contact [at] aroundindy [dot] com. Aattach your GIF/JPG image or advertising copy, tell us on what page or pages you want your ad to appear, and on what date or dates you want the advertisement to appear. Include your name and billing address. We will contact you if necessary. Advertising submitted via e-mail will be billed as described above.
