How to Submit Your Event Listings
We invite you to submit events to be listed on AroundIndy.com, up to ONE YEAR in advance as long as you have a confirmed date for your event. All event listings are published FREE without any cost or obligation, subject to our Acceptable Use Guidelines. Just send us the information.
NOTE: We can't guarantee that every event listing submitted will be published. We have a very heavy workload as more and more people discover our site. We are currently averaging over 3,000 e-mails and other submissions per week (as of December 2011). If you wait until a day or two before the event to submit your event listings, we may not see your submission before your event passes. SUBMIT YOUR EVENTS AS FAR IN ADVANCE AS POSSIBLE. We'll do our best to get your last-minute event submissions listed; we just can't promise it.

If you have a long list of events in an Excel 2003, 2007, or 2010 spreadsheet, just send the spreadsheet as an attachment to an e-mail message.

Send news releases and other such Word 2003, 2007, or 2010 documents as an attachment to an e-mail message.
Sorry, no submissions by telephone calls. This is simply to ensure the accuracy of your listing.
Too much risk for mistakes, misspellings, or transcription errors when we take the information over the phone!
NOTE: Before you submit, use the Search Box in the left sidebar above to search for your event. One of every EIGHT event submissions we receive is already listed on our site.
Checklist of Things to Include
- Name of Event
- Description of Event
- Day(s) of Week, Time(s) or Hours of Operation, and Date(s) of Event
- Venue, location and/or address of event
- Price for Tickets (if any), or is the event free?
- Any deadlines (registration, advance ticket sales, etc.)
- Contact Person, Phone Number, and E-mail address
- Complete Web site address for more information
- Any other details you want to provide
- Attach a JPG, GIF, or PNG photo or image that summarizes the event, if possible. Feature Stories are chosen from such submissions. The larger the better (at least 640px wide, 72 dpi or higher). We will optimize to fit our space.
We welcome submissions for almost any event that is open to the public anywhere in the state of Indiana. We do NOT publish events outside the state of Indiana.
Acceptable Use Guidelines
- No popup ads.
- No Flash ads.
- No audio or sound files may be attached to any advertising.
- No nudity.
- No profanity, not even mild profanity.
- No ads or promotion for tobacco products of any kind.
- No ads or promotion for alcoholic beverages of any kind.
- No ads or promotion for drugs of any kind.
- No illegal, immoral or unethical content (to be determined by AroundIndy.com, LLC at our sole discretion).
- Political advertisements may not attack an opponent; positive ads for your candidacy are welcome regardless of political affiliation.
- For the safety and security of our readers, we do not publish event listings that, to the best of our knowledge, would require our readers to enter a private residence.
- For the safety and security of our readers, we do not publish event listings for unannounced, anonymous or unlisted addresses.
- For the safety and security of children, we generally do not publish event listings targeted at children under age 14. Some exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis, depending upon the nature of the event, at the sole discretion of AroundIndy.com, LLC.
- We do not publish anonymous submissions. If you complete the Event Submission Form and check all three "do not publish" buttons for name, phone and e-mail, and give no Web address for more information, we will not publish the submission. We make the assumption that such a submission is false.
- Other content decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis to be determined by AroundIndy.com at our sole discretion. General rule of thumb: Keep it clean or keep it to yourself.
NOTE: We reserve the right to decline to list any submitted event for any reason without notice. All event submissions are subject to these Acceptable Use Guidelines.
